“Replace the fear of the unknown with curiosity.”

I’m considering applying for a future GovCity. What can I expect?
Don’t. We’ll make sure you arrive as prepared as you need to be, but beginning now…leave your expectations at the door. The inaugural GovCity Cohort was a special group — and we intend for each cohort to carry the spirit of their curiosity onward. Short for, “leave your worries about content at the door when you apply for GovCity.”
By hearing about and subsequently boldly applying to attend a never-been-done event, you, future GovCity Citizen, just activated one critical step in the innovation process: starting. Chances are you're the only one on your team, in your organization, or personal network, that applied to GovCity. This makes you an early adopter. And as a true innovator, we know that you read something, saw something, spoke to someone, that inspired you to get involved. This also makes you a first follower. In other circles, we’d call you the second dancer. And we need you.
Congratulations on being exactly the right person to read this, and having the awareness of your rare status in bureaucratic and traditional organizations everywhere. We’re excited to meet you in person. And we’re excited to introduce you to your foxhole allies of innovation from industries all over the world.
