How long is a GC Alumni Council member term? The position on the GovCity Alumni council is a working one, requiring collaborative and comprehensive planning for the Cohorts. You’ll conduct six months of planning/programming as we build out the cohort class, and we’ll need your help in recruiting and interviewing GovCity candidates. You’ll then spend the next six months executing your plan with the new batch of GovCity inductees, and mentoring the next group of GovCity Alum in their planning process. You’ll have an opportunity to shape the events, drive the agenda, and influence the caliber of high quality talent to join our ranks.
Where are council meetings taking place? There will be a mixed method of both virtual and in-person gatherings (location TBD), when it’s safe to do so, of course.
Will this council still meet in person if we’re sheltering in place during the next 6 months? No.
What will AG Alumni Council members be responsible for? The council will help steer our ship in multiple capacities. Some examples include supporting event planning, recruitment of future GC cohort members, research and development efforts.
